We bought this airbed as we had visitors arriving and no bed or sofa-bed in place. It was a last ditch effort to provide some reasonable sleeping accommodation. Our guests really liked the airbed (air mattress). It’s not perfect but they slept soundly (three night stay). Our observations: Liked the inbuilt inflation motor – just turn the dial to inflate and turn the dial the other way to deflate. However, you kinda need to guess the correct inflation amount (firmness). The instructions state that 5 minutes maximum for the motor to run continuously. We were happy with the inflation after about 4 minutes. However, it did seem to deflate a touch after use (we topped up as required). The instructions state that a new mattress will stretch a bit over several initial uses – so I guess it may have been stretching. We’re quite sure there were no leaks. We also purchased a mattress topper to assist with comfort and hopefully getting away from that air mattress feel. It worked quite well although its a challenge to get the topper to remain in place as you can’t just slip the corner strap holders under the corner of the mattress. Note, this is a full height air mattress which is great for guests as you don’t have to get down towards the floor but it means the topper straps don’t reach down that far. All in all a pretty good temporary solution for guests at a very good price point. When finished we managed to get it all back in the box – a rarity for us.
